is it just me or is it perfectly fine for a brother to take a 3 day or 5 day or 10 day cruise and miss up to 2 weeks worth of meetings and nothing is said.
but if a brother misses a month of sundays to work to put food on the table or make the rent, he is counsled.
does this make sense.
The last 2 couples I heard of that went on a cruise recently..were burned up in a taxi . It wrecked with a tractor trailer in Florida....A tragic story.
The way the JW's teach though..It would seem they should all pool their money and share . That way all will be equal. If one can't afford to go on a cruise..none of them should!...At least that was what I got out of the bible teachings!

we posted a few weeks ago that our mother had been diagnosed with pancreas cancer and was given 6-18 months with chemo.
My heart goes out to all of your family!
I was with both of my parents when they died. And they were both out of it. They were conscious but knew nothing . My father in law(JW) was the same way..but I wasn't with him.They didn't recognize anyone.My Mom lost it right after they told her she was full of cancer. She couldn't speak or anything.They both spent 2 weeks in the hospital before they passed away....( 8 months apart )
A terrible thing to lose a loved one
Hubby has been diagnosed with terminal cancer also.(JW) He was diagnosed on 9-11 this year. Of all days. He was given 9 months to a year. He had some chemo..but it didn't work. Now they recommend hospice. I haven't looked into it yet. We both talked to the Dr about the end and are hoping he goes into a coma. But I don't want him to feel anything. How can they be in a coma and still hear what is going on?..
I heard Pancreatic cancer was very painful so I think her coma was a blessing...Hopefully she is out of pain.But we always wish for "Just a little more time " with out loved ones.
My love and sympathy for what you are going through now and after..My thoughts are with you!

but the latest watchtower says it is a personal decision..yet they quote nothing but scriptures to support doing it!..i can't remember what they taught.

we've just been watching an absolutely heart wrenching documentary on itv about a little girl with a very rare disease (progeria) which makes her age prematurely at 10 times the normal rate.
she will be like an old woman by the time she is 10.. they have a meet-up where the little kids with the same condition can play and have fun together and seeing their poor little faces looking so happy is a wonder to behold.
i guess it's easy to forget that inside they are still really little kids.
Thanks for the link. His sister in NY is a JW. She recommeded something called "Tahitian Noni Juice" He was drinking a bottle a day.It had Noni fruit juice, grape juice and blueberry juice But they didn't say to fast.
Someone else E Mailed me and recommended fasting with only juices. The trouble with that is ..he got such terrible diarrhea .
Now he cut back to the recommended 6 oz a day. It cost us $1000. the first month he took it!
But he had no nausea with the chemo..his blood counts stayed excellent except his clotting was low because of the liver damage. But Vitamin K fixed that.
He gives all the credit to the Noni juice. But it didn't keep his liver tumors from growing!..I have heard that fasting until you are almost dead is the only way the juice diet helps. That scares me.
Noni doesn't tell you to fast but they do recommend staying away from sugars and processed foods.
Only thing is their juice has "Sugar" in it!.. I guess they think people don't read labels!
Hubby is a believer but I am a skeptic to any non- proven remedies!

i have been blessed and directed by spirit to discover a miraculous cure for debilitating disease and the negative effects of old age.. pleae read the reviews of the book "calcium factor" for a detailed explanation .. the answer to living a long life of 100+ years in good health is explained by doctor barefoot as mega doses of calcium at least 3 or more times the officially recommended daily requirement.
you can find drug store brands as i did of oyster shell calcium (qty 300- 500mg tablets) for about $20) i have been taking 6 to 10 tablets daily for about two weeks now and already am a completely changed man.
I have been reading a lot about that aso. I also read in another article that your body cn only process so much calcium ..I forget the amounts.. and always take Vitamin D with it. They say some pretty good things about it. But I doubt it can prolong your life much. Maybe make your life healthier..but not prolong it.
My female Dr recommended 1,500 to 2,000. mg a day. I take Caltrate with D and magnesium..good as anything else. It all comes from the ground! And a 30 day supply is only about $6.00...

Are you kidding..I have that many too!..I have the back yard .(biggest).one side yard done and I have one more side and the front (2nd time) to do. We have a mulcher on our lawnmower..but you have to empty it after a few swipes. At frst mulched them nd then picked them up...lssbags that way. (Riding mower) I like to get by the fence with a rake..looks beter!. Or if there is too many..just rake. Otherwise you get a lot of mulch in the grass you can't rake up!. Kills the grass.
I need a heating pad on my lower back as we speak!

i have taken a break from the baby wait to come to the board and see what is happening.
recently i had a run in with some people from another board, that also attend this board.
in a search of my name on this site, i see that people (two weeks later) are still mentioning this and me.
